MY BACKGROUND
I’m a designer, researcher, and strategist with a multidisciplinary, non-traditional background.
I’ve always had a passion for understanding human behavior as well as bringing ideas and stories to life. This led me to study psychology and film as an undergrad at Pomona College. After graduating I worked as a customer support agent at a tech startup. I spent my days talking with customers and hearing about the same problems that never seemed to get fixed. I made it my mission to figure out how to get people to empathize with the users and prioritize their pain points. This was how I first discovered my passion for human centered design.
Since then I’ve gone on to get my master’s in interaction design from Carnegie Mellon and have worked for a variety of industries and organizations including startups, big tech, universities, museums, and Fortune 100 companies.
I love working for mission based organizations that create products that truly improve the lives of their users. I am particularly passionate about working in education, health, and social impact. I also enjoy incorporating learnings from psychology, behavioral economics, and gamification into my designs.
When I’m not designing I enjoy doing acrobatic trampoline, learning Yiddish, and helping to socialize shelter cats.
WHERE I’VE WORKED
Through a combination of in-house, consulting, and freelance work I have designed for a wide array of companies including start-ups, big tech, non-profits, universities, and museums.
